About

Taylor Gonsalves is a Cape-Cod based multi-instrumentalist, music educator, and writer, whose mission is to uplift and inspire young musicians. With over 13 years of performance experience, she seeks to cultivate joy through musical exploration, community building, and live shows.

Teaching Experience

Currently, Taylor is in her second year of directing 4th Grade Band in Falmouth, MA. She holds a B.A. and is working toward licensure in elementary music education.

Additionally, Taylor offers private music instruction for songwriting and beginner guitarists. She performs weekly Sing Alongs and Story Times at a local public library for children ages 1-5 years old, and occasionally offers free songwriting programs for children.


Music Career

From jazz combos to jam bands, a cappella groups to ensembles, award-winning writer and musician Taylor Gonsalves has left her mark on every musical venture she’s been a part of.

Currently, Taylor is the frontwoman, flutist, and rhythm guitarist of Wayside Sound. Alongside her partner, lead guitarist and Boston-native Jack Dudek, the two seek to honor their blues-rock predecessors while intertwining energetic jams and folk-inspired whimsicality.


Performing across Massachusetts and New England almost weekly, Wayside Sound is often supported by Alexander Pease (Heartland Radio) on drums, and Sam Scarnavack (Cassidy Deadwater) on bass for full band appearances.


When she's not teaching music, Taylor can be found creating art, writing, or enjoying the outdoors via skis or sailboat.
